    Description

Doctor Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas Production Cel and Animation Drawing (MGM, 1966). "He climbed to the roof, two bags in his fist; he slid down the chimney, a rather tight fit... he got stuck only once!" An original hand-painted production cel of the Grinch as he is sliding down the first Who chimney. He's about to get stuck; you can see this at about 12:40 into the special. Nice fun image, measuring about 8", placed over a print background for presentation purposes. As a bonus, the cel comes with its matching 12 field animation drawing. Both the cel and drawing have been hand-signed by legendary director Mr. Chuck Jones (1912 - 2002). A Linda Jones seal is on both pieces, and they each include a Linda Jones COA. The cel and drawing would look great framed together in a double aperture mat! Fine condition. From the Chuck Jones Archives.
