Doctor Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas Grinch and Max Production/Presentation Cel Setup (MGM, 1966). "Then he packed up his sled, he packed it up with their presents, their ribbons, their wrappings, their snoof, and their fuzzels, their tinglers, and trappings!" An original hand-painted production cel of the Grinch with his whip to drive poor Max as he stands high on the sled, about to depart from Whoville with all the presents and decorations to "Steal Christmas!" You can see this Key Scene image around the 18:18 mark in the film. The 16 field production cel is placed on a one-of-a-kind pair of hand-painted presentation cels of the sled and Max and all three are placed on a print background for presentation purposes. An estate-approved Chuck Jones autopen signature and a Linda Jones seal are on the cel; a Linda Jones COA is included. Overall large image is a striking 11" x 7". Fine condition. From the Chuck Jones Archives.
