DescriptionDizzy Kitty Poppa Panda Production Cel with Terrytoons Production Background (Walter Lantz, 1941). "Hey! What're you doing with my hair tonic?" Poppa Panda asks his son, Andy Panda. "Oh, I'm just puttin' it on a cat," he replies. "Oh... Putting it on a cat?!" This is a fantastic moment captured from the Walter Lantz Studios theatrical short Dizzy Kitty, released 5/26/1941. Seen at the :38 mark of the short, this hand-inked hand-painted original production cel features the character large, measuring 6" x 8" on the cel. It is presented on a hand-painted original production background from the Terrytoons Mighty Mouse classic Triple Trouble, released 9/30/1948. This gorgeous background is rendered in gouache, and it accompanies Poppa Panda perfectly. The cel includes a silkscreen-printed notation from Walter Lantz stating, "this is an original painting form one of my animated 'cartunes.'" The cel shows minor handling with some paint damage in places. It is missing pegholes due to trimming. The background measures 13" x 9.75" and shows minor handling and edge wear. The condition overall is Very Good.
