Der Fuehrer's Face Production Background (Walt Disney, 1943). "Welcome, workers of Nutziland!" This film was one of the most famous of the propaganda shorts made by Disney Studios during World War II, and it won Donald Duck his one and only Academy Award! Directed by Jack Kinney, it was released on New Year's Day 1943. This is a hand-painted production background of the munitions factory where Donald Duck works and it can be seen around the 3:22 mark in the short. The original gouache painting on background board comes with a a custom airbrush overlay cel of smoke billowing from the chimneys which was added to complete the image. This is historic one-of-a-kind production piece from Disney Studios most acclaimed and entertaining contributions to the war effort. The art is framed under glass with a mat opening of 9.75" x 7.75" in a 15.5" x 14" frame. Condition is Very Good. Frame is sold as-is.Auction Info
