    Description

Winnie the Pooh Storybook Cover Concept Art by Carson Van Osten Group (Walt Disney, c. 2000s) Winnie the Pooh was created by A. A. Milne, with his first book published in 1926. To celebrate his 80th anniversary, Disney proposed a book to be titled Disney's Winnie the Pooh - 80 Years of Friendship and Adventure. Disney Legend Carson Van Osten (1945 - 2015) drew several preliminary designs to be considered. Here is a group of items from Carson's personal files, including four beautiful hand-drawn cover ideas; these are in graphite on onionskin paper, with great eye appeal. Image sizes are 7" x 8" on two pieces, 8" x 10", and 8.5" x 10". In addition, there are eight photostat pages, plus two blank sheets with the book's title masthead, as issued by Disney to the artists involved. All items are housed in a 9.5" x 15" file folder. Very Good to Fine condition. From the Carson Van Osten Archives.
