    Winnie the Pooh and Dumbo Book Preliminary Art by Carson Van Osten Group (Walt Disney, c. 2000s). Disney Legend Carson Van Osten (1945 - 2015) was an excellent artist and cartoonist, having cut his teeth on a ton of foreign market comic book work in the 1970s. Here are two groups of preliminary illustrations/layouts for Disney-related books. First is for Winnie the Pooh, with eleven pages of very detailed art, in graphite on onionskin paper. The paper size is 9" x 12", with image sizes ranging from 5" x 3.5" up to 7" x 7". Next up is a group of six Dumbo illustrations, all circus-themed. The art is in graphite on vellum paper measuring 12" x 9", with image sizes averaging 8" x 8". The Dumbo art also includes a touched-up photocopy page measuring 11" x 17"; image size is 16" x 8". All items are housed in a 9.5" x 11.75" file folder. Very Good to Fine condition.
