    Description

Wild Over You Layout Concept Art Signed by Maurice Noble (Warner Brothers, 1953). This Chuck Jones-directed short takes place during the 1900 Paris Exposition and includes a Grand Tour of "Le Zoo". The legendary Mike Maltese wrote this classic Pepe Le Pew short that was released on 7/11/53. It was the first Pepe cartoon in which Maurice Noble received screen credit, for his magnificent layouts. It's an original background Color Key layout painting and an almost exact image of it can be seen at the 1:12 mark. The "Le Zoo" sign and stylized cages are pure Noble and the artwork is signed by the artist in the lower right corner. The painting in gouache measures 4" x 6" and is framed and matted under glass with a mat opening of 9" x 11" in a 16" x 18" frame. An absolutely beautiful study of color by one of animation's true artists. Frame is sold as-is and the condition of the artwork is Very Good.
