Walt Peregoy Don Quixote Concept Art (Walt Disney, 1952) The Walt Disney Studio tried many times to turn this story of Don Quixote into an animated feature film. It was green-lighted in the 1940s, '50s, and '60s but sadly it was never to be. You can read about it in the book by Charles Solomon,The Disney That Never Was. This is an amazing concept art piece by Disney Legend Inductee Walt Peregoy (1925 - 2015). It is graphite and pastel measuring 14.5" x 17" on 14.5" x 23" paper which has been mounted to a 21" x 25" piece of backing board. Mr. Peregoy's distinctive style of drawing horses is showcased in this artwork and the composition displays a stunning array of colors and shapes. Despite its historical attachment to Disney Studios, this is truly a stand-alone work of art. Some minor handling issues; otherwise, condition is Very Good.
