Walt Peregoy "Chanticleer" Concept Art Group of 4 (Walt Disney, c. 1960s). The Marc Davis/Ken Anderson animated "Chanticleer" project picked up steam again in 1960, only to ultimately be shelved for good. Walt Peregoy was selected for a major project of character design for the early 1960s treatment. This is a series of four stunning pieces of character designs from the hand of Mr. Peregoy. These are amazing designs with meticulous detail, in four individual paintings on light board. One is signed "Peregoy '60." This date reinforces the projects timeline laid out in Charles Solomon's book The Disney That Never Was. These appear to be paintings that would have been used in formal story/pitch presentations. Clear acetate has been placed over each one. Images are 12" - 15". Minor handling. Very Good condition. From the Walt Peregoy Archives.
