Description
Treasure Planet Captain Flint and Concealed Slash Character Design Drawings Signed by John Pomeroy (Walt Disney, 2002). The old chestnut Treasure Island gets redone as an exciting science-fiction action-adventure in this Disney animated feature film. Here are two elaborate character design drawings of the alien space pirates, Captain Flint and his former employee, Slash, who was to appear in the canceled Treasure Island 2, taking over for Flint (whom he kills). These rare original drawings were done by John Pomeroy in preparation for Treasure Planet, although six-eyed alien Captain Flint plays a minor role, and the insect-like Slash did not make the cut. Mr. Pomeroy left the Disney Studios soon after Treasure Planet was released, so he had no hand in planning a sequel. The drawings are in graphite on 17" x 12.5" 5-peghole animation paper; approximate image sizes are 13.5" x 10" (Flint) and 7.25" x 8" (Slash). Both drawings have been hand-signed by John Pomeroy. A Howard Lowery Certificate of Authenticity is included. Condition is Very Good with light handling and tack holes in the corners.More information about Walt Disney Studios - Other Artist.
