    Description

    Tim Burton The Black Cauldron Horned King Concept Drawing (Walt Disney, 1985). Tim Burton's CalArts short, Stalk of the Celery Monster, was noticed by the Walt Disney Productions' Animation Division, resulting in his apprenticeship at the studio. Among the projects Mr. Burton worked on were concept sketches for The Black Cauldron, for which he received no screen credit. Here is a very rare original ink and gray wash concept sketch of The Horned King, drawn on paper. The bold image has an overall size of 6.5" wide by 10.25" tall. The art is not signed, but is clearly in Mr. Burton's style. Any artwork from the hand of Tim Burton is considered rare, and this piece is very distinctive. Pinholes in the top corners, with slight edge and handling wear. Fine condition.
