DescriptionThe Tigger Movie Layout Drawing and Color Key Background Painting by Toby Bluth Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 2000). Originally titled Winnie the Pooh and the Family Tree, this theatrical film boasted two songs by the Sherman Brothers. In this lot are pair of preliminary art pieces by noted Disney artist Toby Bluth (1940 - 2013). The first is an original hand-painted Color Key background painting of the interior of Pooh's house. It is marked SEQ 3.10-ref and includes the matching black line overlay with a production label indicating the artist, camera position and the original working title. The painting is rendered in gouache on 17" x 11" illustration board and signed by the artist in the lower right. It's a striking one-of-a-kind piece from this popular Disney feature. Along with it is an original layout drawing of Christopher Robin as he gathers the group for a family portrait in the end of the film. The graphite and ink drawing is on 17" x 14" paper and features a variety of director's notes for the ending scene and bears two of the artist's iconic signatures, one in the upper left inset and a second in the lower right of the overall image. This piece is both a remarkable work of art and a unique look inside the animation process. Both items show handling and the drawing has been folded. Condition for the lot is Very Good.
