DescriptionThe Thief and the Cobbler King Nog Character Studies Group of 24 (Richard Williams, 1970's/'80s). The Thief and the Cobbler animated film was in production for over 40 years and was to be Richard Williams' magnum opus. Art Babbitt worked closely with director Williams on it and the 2012 documentary on the making of it titled Persistence of Vision. In a PM Magazine news clip from 1982 which can be seen on You Tube, Art Babbitt is shown working with Williams on the Old King in this movie. This is a series of 24 rough animation and character studies of King Nog. A Letter of Authenticity from the Art Babbitt Estate dates these to 1979. They provide an amazing look into this film's long journey. All the pieces show minor handling, edge wear, tears and folds. Condition is Good.
