The Spectacular Spider-Man Concept Art (Warner Brothers, 2008). Spider-Man came back to the television screen in animation form on the Kids WB Network, on 3/8/08. The show used heavy storylines from Stan Lee/Steve Ditko and Stan Lee/John Romita Sr. comic book stories, but also used some modern storylines as well. This is a rare set of 16 character development sketches from longtime animation character development and story man Dan Haskett. Images are of Peter Parker, Mary Jane, Aunt May, and other characters within the show; drawn in graphite with blue pencil highlights on 9" x 11" paper, with one sheet trimmed. With so much of this era's animation work being almost 100% done on computer, these live drawing studies are some of the rarest artwork of Spider-Man in animation that we have come across. Images range from 2" to 9" in this nice lot of detailed studies. Minor handling wear. Very Good overall condition. .
