    Description

The Secret of NIMH Early Title Card Concept Art Group of 6 (Don Bluth, 1982). The Don Bluth studio's first animation feature was based on the children's book Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH, and for a time, this was to be the film's title as well. Here is a set of six original hand-drawn title cards with this book title. The art is in a variety of styles, done in color marker on paper, and ink on vellum. Each piece has an average image area of 11" to 13.5" wide and 6" to 9.25" tall. The three inked pieces look very finished. These are very rare, very early title treatments, most likely done as Don was still trying to pitch the idea to Disney. Each piece of art is affixed to a 16" x 12". The two color marker version have some minor stains and fading, but nothing too distracting. Overall condition is Very Good.
