Description
The Lion King Original Simba and Timon Story Concept Drawing and Studio Print by Thom Enriquez (Walt Disney, 1994). Thom Enriquez explores one interaction between Simba and Timon in the large 15.25'' x 6'' original and studio print storyboard concept pair from The Lion King. After Mufasa's death and Simba's banishment, Timon and Pumbaa rescue him and take him to the oasis they call their home. This concept would have taken place sometime during that time after Simba adjusted. The film went through a variety of adjustments from its inception to the final product and this is a great chance to see a piece that didn't make it on screen. The original concept is masterfully rendered in color pencil and ink and taped to the 17'' x 13'' page with the center pose removed. The area was corrected and taped back on the page. The studio print has small hand-drawn and hand-embellished areas on the 16.75'' x 12.5'' paper as well as a new pose for Simba and white paint where the previous poses were covered. Noted 40 and 40B as well as 1 and 2 in the lower right, the pair are in Very Good condition overall with light handling and edge wear and taped pegholes on one page.From the Noted Disney Concept and Story Artist Thom Enriquez Collection.
