    Description

    The Lion King CD Cover Preliminary Drawing (Walt Disney, c. 1990s). Preliminary penciled cover art design for a rare soundtrack CD, sold exclusively at Japanese Disney Stores in an edition of only 1,000. In this magnificent drawing, Simba roars as the ghost of his father, King Mufasa, looks on from the heavens, telling his son to go regain the Pride Lands kingdom from evil King Scar. The art is in graphite on Bristol board, with an image area of 12" x 12"; board measures 15" x 15", and includes a protective clear acetate overlay. A reduced-size print of the artwork, plus a color print-out of the actual CD, is included. Art is in Fine condition.
