    Description

The Iron Giant Concept Art Group of 2 (Warner Brothers, 1999). Here are two action-packed concept paintings created in the early developmental stages of the animated feature film The Iron Giant. These were painted by animation legend Victor Haboush, who got his start at Disney Studios in the early 1950s. The first of this lot shows the Iron Giant rocketing through the sky with fighter jets in pursuit. It is signed by the artist, dated '98, and measures 11" x 17". The second is the giant falling into the ocean and it measures 8.5" x 11". Both are black line prints with hand-embellishment using gouache, charcoal and ink. The pieces show pinholes and some minor handling wear; otherwise, condition is Very Good. From the Vic Haboush Archives.
