The Hollywoods Concept Drawings (Walt Disney, c. 1935). The stars from the Golden Age of Hollywood were featured in many Disney Studio shorts. Cartoons such as Mickey's Gala Premier, Mickey's Polo Team, Mother Goose Goes Hollywood, Broken Toys, and The Autograph Hound all used caricatures of Hollywood's biggest stars. T. Hee was the main artist behind these caricatures. This is a rare sheet of graphite gag drawings for a proposed Mickey Mouse short featuring Hollywood Stars as animals; the story would have had Mickey and Donald return from a hunting trip in the big woods known as "The Hollywood." They bring back motion pictures of the strange "animals" they encountered there. Three storyboard panels are included on a sheet of 12" x 10" paper. One panel shows the Four Marx Brothers as "Marx Birds" and one panel shows Wallace Berry as "Walrus Berry." A third panel has Mickey hatching from an egg. Each panel is 4" x 3". A very interesting lot! Minor handling wear. Very Good condition.
