The Hollywoods Concept Drawing Original Art (Walt Disney, 1935). The stars of the Golden Age of Hollywood were featured in many Disney Studios shorts. Shorts such as Mickey's Gala Premier, Mickey's Polo Team, Broken Toys, Mother Goose Goes Hollywood and The Autograph Hound are but a few. These cartoons all used caricatures of Hollywood's biggest stars at the time. T. Hee was a major artist behind many of the caricatures. This is a rare story sheet for a proposed but never made Mickey Mouse short featuring a number of big Hollywood stars as animals. This story/gag sheet displays Charlie Chaplin as a penguin, Jean Harlow as a vampire bat, and Clark Gable as an elephant. The proposed story had Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck returning from a hunting trip in the big woods known as the "Holly Wood." In the cartoon, they bring back motion pictures of the "Strange Animals" they encounter there. Art is in graphite on 9.5" x 12" paper with three joke panels on it. Very rare to find story art from unmade Mickey Mouse shorts of this era. Minor handling and edge wear. Overall condition is Good.
