    Description

The Happy Prince Character Design Concept Drawing and Cel Group of 24 (DePatie-Freleng, c. 1970s). Here's something for hardcore animation fans. This is a series of twelve original character designs for a proposed DePatie-Freleng TV Special, The Happy Prince. Each one of these drawings is from the hand of Corny Cole (1930 - 2011). Corny Cole was an animator, production designer and longtime Cal Arts Instructor from 1992 until 2009. He was the recipient of the 2006 Winsor McCay Award. Each drawing comes with a full hand-painted cel made from Mr. Cole's original artwork. This was the pitch art for a project that eventually went to Gerald Potterton in Canada. Drawings are in graphite and color markers. Fine condition.
