The Fox and the Hound Concept Art (Walt Disney, 1981). James Coleman is an internationally known fine artist in his own right and his artwork has been sold for years in Fine Art Galleries around the globe. Many art collectors are unaware that he got his start at Walt Disney Studios. Mr. Coleman worked on twenty-five films at Walt Disney Feature Animation over the course of twenty-two years. This is a rare background concept painting believed to be from his work on The Fox and the Hound. He was the official Color Stylist for this film. In that role he was tasked with creating backgrounds and color palettes to give the film its personality. It is believed that this stunning original painting is from his work on The Fox and the Hound. The piece is signed on the back and framed with a mat opening of 7" x 10", in a frame measuring 14" x 17". It is a stunning piece of artwork by a very important artist. Condition is Fine.Auction Info
