The Flintstones "Surfin' Fred" Layout Drawings Original Art Group of 4 by Richard Bickenbach (Hanna-Barbera, 1965). Fred and the gang head to the beach on vacation, where Fred crashes the kid's group as "Troy," the "overage idol of the stone board set." Here's a group of original 12 field layout drawings from the Season 5, Episode 26 "Surfin' Fred," which first aired on 3/12/65. The first drawing is Fred's first attempt at conquering the waves; overall image size is 8" x 7.5", with Fred's figure size at 2.5". The second drawing is a great group shot of the Flintstones and the Rubbles walking toward the beach, with Fred wearing his "ho-daddy" hairstyle; figure sizes range from 3" to 4.25". Next, "Troy" stops to chat with a young beach bunny; here's Fred with his surfboard, figure size 5.25". Finally, dripping wet Barney and Betty come out of the water to chat with Wilma; Barney's figure size is 3", Betty is 3.75". A fun set of graphite drawings by animation legend Dick Bickenbach from this fan-favorite episode! In Very Good condition with minor handling wear.
