DescriptionThe Emperor's New Clothes Background Layout Concept Art (Walt Disney, c. 1980s-90s). In 1995, the great writer Charles Solomon wrote a book called The Disney That Never Was. It featured artwork and stories about animated projects that went into development at Walt Disney Studios but never saw the light of day. Some amazing artwork was produced for these unmade films. This lot would be a perfect piece for an updated book on this topic. This is an Alvaro Arce original layout/concept piece for a proposed Mickey, Donald, and Goofy short to be titled "The Emperors New Clothes." Concept art from these unmade animated projects are highly desired. This Arce original is a stunning interior layout. Rough images of Donald, Goofy, and Mickey can be seen at the table. Graphite art with amazing detail, on 17" x 11" paper. Minor handling and edge wear. Good condition.
