DescriptionThe Black Cauldron Witches Concept Art by Andreas Deja (Walt Disney, 1985). The black cauldron that is so desired by the evil Horned King resides with the three witches from the Marshes of Morva -- Orddu, Orwen, and Orgoch. Here they are, in a set of original art studies from the hand of Andreas Deja. Mr. Deja was inducted as A Disney Legend in 2015, after his staggering array of work on so many Disney animated films. His very first assignment for Disney was doing character visual development for The Black Cauldron. His work on this was so good, he was moved in animation on this film. This lot is some of the first work ever done by Mr. Deja at the Walt Disney Studio; a set of three 16 field pages, each with multiple images of the three witches done in ink, red pencil, and artist's color markers. Look for the frog in the Orwen drawings! Very Good condition with minor handling wear.
