    The Black Cauldron Horned King's Castle Studies by David Jonas Group of 4 (Walt Disney, 1985). After working on layout and backgrounds for Ralph Bakshi films, David Jonas was brought in to work on this Disney animated feature film. He was listed as both writer and character designer. Mr. Jonas would go on after this film as a Production Illustrator in live-action movies. He worked on such films as Back to the Future and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, to name a few. Any and all artwork from Mr. Jonas is in high demand. This is a set of four charcoal studies of the Horned King's Castle. One even shows Taryn scaling its walls! All are done on translucent 3-peg animation paper. Artwork takes up almost the entire sheet. Stunning artwork, with amazing detail. Minor handling and edge wear. In Very Good condition.
