DescriptionThe Black Cauldron Gwythaints Banquet Concept Art by David Jonas (Walt Disney, 1985). Rare pair of concept pieces for the Gwythaints Banquet sequence by David Jonas. After working on layout and backgrounds for Ralph Bakshi films, Mr. Jonas was brought in to work on this Disney animated feature film. He was listed as both writer and character designer. Mr. Jonas would go on to work on such films as Back to the Future and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, to name a few. Any and all artwork from Mr. Jonas is in high demand. These drawings on paper are both mounted to a single 11" x 14" board; the top piece is in ink and blue pencil, measuring 9.75" x 7", while the bottom piece is in graphite, measuring 9" x 5" (it includes a protective acetate overlay.
