    Description

    The Black Cauldron Concept Art by Mike Ploog Group of 3 (Walt Disney, 1985). Some of the more entertaining characters in this film are the Horned King's lumbering, brutish henchmen. They are a pretty funny group of incompetents. This is an outstanding character design drawing of two of them by Marvel Comics artist Mike Ploog, who trained with Will Eisner. The graphite on paper drawing has an image area of 9.5" x 10.5". Also included are two graphite on paper studies of the flying dragons called the Gwythaints, with one as skeletons; image areas measure 11.75" x 15.5" and 15" x 10". All three pages are signed. Good to Very Good condition with handling/edge wear. From the Joe Hale Collection.
