SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadron "Succubus!/The Curse of Kataluna" Katrina Moorkoft Character Design Drawings for Unfinished Episode Group of 5 (Hanna-Barbera, 1995). Presented in this lot is an outstandingly rare group of five character design drawings featuring the deceptively posed Katrina Moorkoft, as well as her monstrous gargyle transformation, from the unfinished episode of SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadron "Succubus!/The Curse of Kataluna." Written by Glenn Leopold, this episode would have had Katrina, an ancient demon, seeking to drain the life force of Commander Ulysses Feral to maintain her youthfulness. Although a full script for the episode was created, the episode never got fully produced. Instead, Leopold and producer Davis Doi recycled elements for the episode "Eclipse from The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest, and the groundbreaking 1998 animated movie Scooby-doo on Zombie Island. These five drawings present incredible views for the character seen from the front (6" x 9"), three drawings for her back (measuring 4.25" x 8.75" in two of them and 6" x 9.25" in the one shown with her gown), as well as a mind-blowing depiction of her frightful gargoyle transformation (7.75" x 9"), all done in graphite with some showing blue color pencil and the gargoyle drawing presenting some ink on vertically oriented 12-field animation sheets. Three of the drawings show the production code for the episode, 94009. Showing minor handling and edge wear from production, the lot is in Very Good condition.Auction Info
