    Description

Superman Underoos Illustration by Alex Toth (DC/Fruit of the Loom, c. 1977-81). Alex Toth worked on a live action and animated television commercial for Underoos. It was a historic moment, as both DC and Marvel superheroes appeared together for the Fruit of the Loom children's underwear spot. This is the original character design artwork of Superman for this commercial, with five great images of the Man of Steel from 4" to 10" in ink and marker on 11" x 14" paper. Signed by Alex Toth (1928 - 2006) in the upper left. His work on this spot is highlighted on page 315 in the coffee table book Genius Animated: The Cartoon Art of Alex Toth. Minor handling. Fine condition.
