    Description

Streamlined Greta Green Junior and Stock Car Concept Drawing (Warner Brothers, 1937). Long before Pixar created a world inhabited by cars, Leon Schlesinger Studio released its version. This Merry Melodies short starred a little car named Junior who defies the instructions of his taxi dancing mother to attend school and grow up to be a respectable touring sedan. He instead sneaks off to the city to race trains. This is an original color model/concept drawing of Junior watching a stock car race. It's a beautifully rendered drawing in graphite and colored pencil on 12 field 2-peghole paper. This particular scene never made it into the final production making is particularly rare and likely one-of-a-kind. The paper exhibits handling and toning. Condition is Very Good. From the Rev Chaney Archives.
