    Description

Speaking of the Weather Greta Garbo Concept Drawing (Warner Brothers, 1937). This film centers around famous literary characters on magazine and book covers coming to life, a theme which director Frank Tashlin would use in the subsequent shorts Have You Got Any Castles? and You're an Education, both released in 1938. Collectively, theses films are commonly referred to as the "Tashlin Three." This is an original character concept drawing of Greta Garbo from the first short. The 5.5" x 6.5" full-figure image is rendered in graphite and color pencil on 12 field 2-peghole paper. Garbo appears a couple times in this cartoon and her remarkably big feet play a role in each. The piece shows minor handling and toning. Condition is Very Good. From the Rev Chaney Archives.
