Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Snow White Layout Drawing (Walt Disney, 1937). The original Disney princess Snow White is featured here in a wonderfully rare original layout drawing created from the rotoscope process of animating the character in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Using live reference and tracing from photography, the animators at the Disney Studio created a natural look and feel to Snow White's animation. This behind-the-scenes look into the innovative processes of the film's production is a lucky find. The drawing contains production notes: "To remain in music room", and it has a stamp in the lower right corner stating "return promptly to Unit-C". In the lower left corner is written "Seq-8A, Sc. 51" denoting sequence and scene from the film. This piece is rendered in graphite and red pencil on 12 field 5-peghole animation paper. It shows minor handling wear with some discoloration/staining in places. Small pieces of debris are adhered to the sheet, and the condition overall is Good.
