Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Background Color Key/Concept Painting by Cornett Wood (Walt Disney, 1937). This is an extremely rare background Color Key of the Evil Queen's Castle, painted by longtime Disney animator, background, and layout artist Cornett Wood (1905 - 1980). It is gouache on paper and measures 4" x 5", mounted to a backing board of 6.5" x 8". A handwritten note on the back of this mini-masterpiece reads, "Cornett Wood gave this to me in mid-sixties. He did it while working at Disney studio" and is signed by longtime Jay Ward Studios background artist Sam Clayberger. It's definitely one of the rarest pieces of concept art for this classic Disney feature we have come across. There are small tears in top left and bottom right corners, nowhere near the castle painting image. Condition is Very Good.
