Sleeping Beauty Dragon Concept Drawing (Walt Disney, 1959). "Thou Sword of Truth fly swift and sure... that evil die and good endure!" says Merryweather as Prince Phillip throws this sword into the chest of Maleficent the dragon. In this scene, the dragon believes she has killed the Prince and places her head on the ground to look for him. This is a magnificent concept/animation drawing of the Dragon's head rendered in graphite and Conté crayon on panoramic animation paper measuring 12.5" x 30". It's a truly dramatic 27" long image with D-13 written in the bottom right corner. The paper has a fold crease in the middle and shows minor handling; otherwise, condition is Very Good.
