Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!/The New Scooby-Doo Movies Concept Drawing (Hanna-Barbera, 1969/72). Here's a remarkable original layout drawing of Shaggy and Scooby, playing around with a guillotine. It's an amazing detailed layout-type graphite drawing with green and orange pencil highlights on 15" x 13" paper. This is from the hand of the show's original layout designer, Mr. Alvaro Arce, and signed in the bottom right corner. Dialogue is written in the bottom border: "Hey Scooby -- I'm wonder (sic) what's in this basket?" On the back of the drawing are Mr. Arce's notes that read, "Scooby Doo Inspirational Sketch HB 1971." Artwork of this caliber from the beginning origins of the show is considered very rare. Minor handling/edge wear and tear. Very Good condition. From the Alvaro Arce Collection.
