Scooby-Doo Watch Concept Art Color Comp with Cel and Overlay (Hanna-Barbera, 1978). In the 1970s, Scooby-Doo merchandise was everywhere. Even today, there are dozens of different Scooby-Doo watches available. Here are a couple of vintage designs we've not seen before, that may not have gone past the concept stage. A color comp drawing of a Picco-brand watch face showing a happy walking Scoob, with color call-outs and Pantone swatches, is taped over a piece of illustration board which has a hand-painted cel with a different design -- Scooby being "squirted" by a fire hydrant! The watch face's "hands" are jets of water, painted on a cel overlay. The combined image size of the color comp and cel watch faces is 4". The board measures 9.5" x 11". Rare and unusual! Fine condition.
