Scooby-Doo The Mystery Machine Publicity Drawing Preliminary (Hanna-Barbera, c. 1990s).
Get ready to ride with those "meddling" mystery-solving kids Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy, and of course Scooby, aka Mystery Inc., in this souped-up cargo van. It's been made famous from years of Scooby-Doo episodes, but did you know the van is a second-hand job? It was painted for pop music band The Mystery Kids, as noted in the fifth episode of What's New, Scooby-Doo? in 2002. This graphite drawing of the iconic van has been attributed to Hanna-Barbera's top character designer, Iwao Takamoto (1925 - 2007); it has an image size of 7" x 4.5". In Very Good condition, with minor handling and edge wear.
