DescriptionSaludos Amigos/The Three Caballeros Donald Duck and José Carioca Concept Art and Lobby Cards Group of 3 (Walt Disney, 1943-45). Saludos Amigos was the first of the six package films produced by Walt Disney Productions in the 1940s. The first item in this lot is an original concept painting of José Carioca and Donald Duck from the "Aquarela do Brasil" segment. In it, José introduces his American friend to Brazilian favorites cachaça and the samba. It's a beautiful image rendered in ink and watercolor featuring 5" tall figures on light gray paper. The art is in a 14" x 17" mat with a 9" x 12" opening. There is evidence of light handling and condition is Fine. The second item is an unused window card for the release of Saludos Amigos with artwork that is attributed to Fred Moore. It measures 22" x 14" and shows tanning along the edges and a small tear along the bottom edge. Condition is Very Good. The third piece is a Mexican version of a Three Caballeros lobby card which showcases a black and white inset image of Panchito, Donald, and José performing on stage with live action dancers. The piece shows light staining, edge wear, and pinholes in the corners.
