    Description

Retta Scott Toinette's Phillip New Orleans Street Scene Story Development Painting (Walt Disney, 1946). Here is a great story development painting from the hand of Disney Legend Inductee Retta Scott (1916 - 1990). This is from the abandoned Disney film project based on the 1894 children's book by C. V. Jamison. It takes place after the Civil War, and features an orphan with a secret past and a little girl who sells her father's wax statues on the streets of New Orleans. This is a great concept painting of those streets. The art is in gouache on textured paper measuring 14" x 10", which has been pasted to a 16 field 5-peghole backing board. Minor handling and edge wear. Very Good condition. From the Retta Scott Archives.
