Retta Scott Dumbo Lions Story Development Art (Walt Disney, 1941). Disney Legend Inductee Retta Scott (Disney's first screen-credited female animator) attended Chouinard Art Institute, and reportedly spent a great deal of time sketching wildlife at the Griffith Park Zoo. Here's a series of four sketches she did of lions as story development for Dumbo. Two of the sketches are on 16 field 5-peghole animation paper and one is on 12 field 5-peghole paper. One is a striking 9" pastel drawing, another is a 9" Conte crayon/charcoal sketch. The remaining two are in graphite. Minor handling, otherwise Fine condition on all. From the Retta Scott Archives.
