Retta Scott Bambi Concept Art Group of 5 (Walt Disney, 1942). A set of five highly defined pieces of story/concept artwork of the dogs attacking Faline. These are all from the hand of Retta Scott (1916-1990), a sequence that Scott animated in the feature film. Frank Thomas wrote of Retta Scott's sequences with animals "that she seemed to have a keen understanding of their words and attitudes". These drawings are produced in graphite and charcoal, with three on 12 field 5-peghole animation page sheets, and two on trimmed 12 field 5-peghole animation sheets. They are stapled and/or taped to black paper backing sheets. Minor handling and edge wear, staples, and tape on the borders, all away from the stunning images. Amazing artwork. Very Good condition. From the Retta Scott Archives.
