    Description

Popeye and Dragon Concept Drawing Group of 2 (Max Fleischer, c. 1930s). Original concept art of Popeye and horned monsters in two developmental graphite drawings. While these are not the final designs used in the films, they look to be early ideas for some of the monsters who made appearances in the three famous two-reelers produced in color by the Fleischer Studio in the late 1930s. These films clocked in at 17 minutes each, and they all required a cast of fantastic creatures. Some minor paper toning; Fine condition.
