Pocahontas Collector's Plates Design Art Group of 4 (Walt Disney, c. 1990s). Four pieces of original art created, we believe, for the 1995 Bradford Exchange series of collector's plates. These are alternate designs for the plates we have seen, but are no less impressive. The first is a penciled montage scene, with Pocahontas paddling her canoe as the central image. Graphite and blue pencil on white paper, with some elements cut and pasted into place; circular diameter size is 12". A second design has Pocahontas and John Smith standing side-by-side as the wind whips around them; it's in graphite and blue pencil, diameter. The third piece is a study of the figures from that last design, in graphite with blue and red pencil; image area is 8" x 8". Finally, there is a graphite on 16 field animation paper of the border design for both plates. Art is in Very Good condition.
