    Pinocchio Concept Painting by Gustaf Tenggren (Walt Disney, 1940). Jack Kinney said of Gustaf Tenggren's work in Pinocchio that "He painted beautiful color illustrations for inspiration". This is an outstanding concept painting by Gustaf Tenggren of the exterior of Geppetto's workshop and the surrounding village with children running off to school. The gouache painting on 16" x 11" board is labeled Seq.1A, Pinocchio and is signed by the artist. This exact image appears on page 90 in the book Pinocchio by Pierre Lambert. Tenggren's work on Geppetto's workshop and the surrounding town are key elements in the look and feel of this classic film. This is a museum quality piece of animation art by a very significant artist from a historic Disney film. The painting is in a frame of 28" x 23". Condition is Very Good and frame is sold as is.
