Peter Pan Nana and Michael Concept Painting by David Hall (Walt Disney, 1940). David Hall began in the Story Department at Walt Disney on 3/1/39. His hiring and career is written about in great detail in the superb book They Drew as They Pleased -- The Hidden Art of Disney's Musical Years (1940s -- Part One) by Didier Ghez. After doing hundreds of drawings for Alice in Wonderland, Hall lent his hand on Bambi, but his imagination ran wild on his assignment for a proposed film called Peter Pan. For this project, he worked exclusively in watercolor and ink. This is a new-to-market David Hall original painting of Nana in the Neverland Jungle, with Michael. The art is in gouache and ink on trimmed board measuring 11.5" x 9". Amazing detail to every aspect of this piece of early Peter Pan studio concept artwork. A stunning piece of David Hall original art, signed in the bottom right. Minor handling and edge wear. Good condition.
