Peter Pan Jolly Roger Ship Concept Drawing Original Art (Walt Disney, 1953). "Yo ho yo ho, a pirate's life for me!" This is an outstanding concept art piece of the home of Captain Hook, Mr. Smee and their band of pirates, "The Jolly Roger." Art is in pastels on paper measuring 12" x 9". Great, colorful image of the ship, with a size of 7" x 6". The number 16 is written in the bottom right corner. This ship was also an inspiration for the Peter Pan ride in Disney theme parks. Concept art of this film began in the early 1940s and then was halted due to war, an animator's strike, etc. Disney first gave a hint of this film to the public in the 1940s Giant Golden Book Walt Disney's Surprise Package. Terrific piece of early development artwork of a key part of the film. Minor handling and edge wear; overall condition is Very Good.
