Description

Peter Pan Capt. Hook's Pirates Early Concept Drawings Original Art Group of 14 (Walt Disney, 1940). Walt Disney was interested in producing a Peter Pan animated feature as far back as 1935; it was at one time considered as the studio's follow-up to Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Here's a fascinating collection of concept sketches of pirates created during an early pass at the development of this film. These extremely rare drawings, in highly detailed graphite, are on 12 field 5-peghole animation paper. While a few pages have only two or three sketches, most have multiple or large single images. These rare vintage drawings have handling and edge wear, with a few small stains and overall paper toning. Good condition. From the Joe Rinaldi Estate.
