Pete's Dragon Story/Character Development Drawings by Ken Anderson Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1977). Disney Legend and one of "Walt's Nine Old Men" Ken Anderson drew these sketches, in development of the original Pete's Dragon. The first page is a set of loose sketches in ink of Pete with Elliot, with nice images of Elliot the Dragon dancing happily. The art is in ink on board, matted with an opening of 7.5" x 10.75", and overall mat size of 11.5" x 15". The second piece features sketches of some of the main characters: Dr. Terminus (with Jack Lemmon noted as actor; Jim Dale wound up playing the part), Hoagy (with one profile noted as Tim Conway; Red Buttons played the part), and Pete. Art is in ink, graphite, and gray wash on board, in a matching mat with an opening of 7.5" x 5.75", and overall size of 14" x 11". Fine condition. From the Joe Hale Archives.
