Peanuts Consumer Product Concept Drawings Group of 2 (Bill Melendez, 1980/81). Peanuts is one of the most popular comic strips of all time and its beloved cast of characters have appeared on virtually every type of consumer product ever made from Books, clothing, toys, electronics etc. It is a licensing empire that spans the globe. Offered here are two sets of original concept drawings created for use with a variety of consumer products. There are five pencil renderings on two sheets of tissue paper. They range in size from 7" x 4" to 2.5" x 2.5" on tissue paper of 9" x 12" and 8" x 10". The detail in these little drawings is absolutely exquisite, and the imagery captures many of the most popular themes from the comic strip including baseball, camping and Charlie Brown's kite-eating tree. Each drawing is dated between March 1980 and August 1981. Minor handling, edge wear, and age-related toning. Condition is Very Good.Auction Info
